Stucco The stucco is a lime based technique. The plaster is mixed with coarse sand for the first layer and finer sand as the top layer is reached. For an interior decorative stucco, the last one or two layers are made with very fine sand and/ or marble powder and mixed with pigments.
If two layers are added as finishing layers the pigments used are different. The result is a mottled effect whether subtle or contrasted.
